In late July in 2006 Adam, Mike, and TJ sat down and played together for the 1st time. After getting a few songs down like "Friend of the Devil", "The Weight", and "Tell it to Me", they hit up the local open mic's. Soon after, Troy Andre brought his banjo around and they were known as "American Folk". After playing and recording with a couple of excellent bassists(hello Tom and Dan), Brett entered the Band and has been a key player ever since. In late 2010 American Folk's fiddle and banjo needs were meet with Shawn and Jim. Also a special thanks to the 7th band member, Jeremy, our sound technician. Thanks and here's to another great 5 year's!  *above: busking in Madison 9/2006, below: at George's open mic Racine, WI 11/2006, bottom: "I Know You Rider" New year's eve 2006 at the Cosmic Railroad Masquerade Ball
